Something in my heart keeps taking me back in time to a place where I can be free.

Although Part of Something was never released as a single in the U.S. it is still one of the most enduring tracks from Psychopathic Issues and managed to place on charts worldwide, including the UK and Ireland.
I originally wanted it [Part of Something] to be an acoustic track, but it was one of those things where you add this track, so you obviously need to add that track. So many people have grown to love this song despite the lack of promotion that was done after it's release.

Save Me was the the third single from Psychopathic Issues. 'Save Me' was Darren's second mega-hit after toppling the sales of Darren's first single 'Jenna' and flying up charts worldwide to the #1 and top 10 positions.

I was so reluctant to record 'Save Me' because it really does give away my more vulnerable side...  

We had a life, we had a home- now your temple's fallen, your guru's dead- you lost your soul.

The song that started it all. In the spring of 2008 'Jenna' was the first single to be released from Psychopathic Issues. The infectious melodramatic tale of "love gone wrong" exploded all over the internet and on radio prompting Clear Channel Radio to contact Darren for an interview and to let him know that his single was one of the most played songs by a new artist!

I think Jenna is now just a part of who I am now. I was so lucky to have been the person to write it.  

nobody but you is ever gonna make it happen, nobody but you is stands in the way.

Nobody But You was Darren's second single from Psychopathic Issues. The song is about Darren's lifelong struggles with self-defeatism and procrastination.

I Believe In You is one of the unique tracks from Psychopathic Issues. It is truly a song that can mean different things to different people- at different points in their life.

I had this melody in my head for years. I would pull my guitar out on many occasions and start playing it but I could never think of lyrics or what it meant to me. The night before I was scheduled to go into the studio, it just came to me. I wrote it in about 10 minutes that night!

Spring 2008, Psychopathic Issues the album was released under GRM Records.

The album came so close to never seeing the light of day. It was one of those periods where I was going through so many changes. A lot of my dreams had already been fulfilled, but I always had music on my mind.  

You know you're not the only one who thought they lost their way. You know I've been where you are before. That's no place to stay...

Just Have Some Faith was never released as a single. However, with it's in your face power chords and striking catchy melody, fans have come to adore it for it's message of hope and redemption.

I was really trying to capture a retro type of sound. I think this was a very fun song for both Chris and I to work on together. He had worked with bands like the Eurythmics and stuff...
